Microbes

During Galway Science and Technology week, we had visitors in to our classroom to speak to us about 'microbes'. Dr Eoin McGillicuddy from NUI Galway, Microbiologist Ann and Nurse Niamh from UCHG. We learnt about microorganism, the different types and how microorganism can affect our health. We learnt that there are good and bad types of microorganism. Finally, we learnt about the importance of hand washing. Nurse Niamh showed us the importance of washing our hands properly. She used UVA lights to show us if we had cleaned our hands correctly. We really enjoyed the workshop!
