HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

IT'S HALLOWEEN! We had lots of fun in first class getting ready for Halloween. We learnt the Skeleton Dance and had a great laugh doing the dance and singing the song. We also made dancing skeletons for art as well as some spooky ghost and our scary 2D shaped witches. We also enjoyed getting dressed up on Friday in our costumes! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Maths Week Art Competition

We had an art competition this week to honour maths week. We created scary witches out of 2D shapes to prepare our classroom for Halloween. We had lots of fantastic creations and it was really hard to pick a winner but both a girl and a boy were chosen! Well done to all the children on their fabulous art.

Maths Week

We had lots of fun this week celebrating maths week. Some parents kindly came into our classroom and played maths games with us. Everyone had lots of fun playing the games and we look forward to welcoming the parents into our classroom again! At the end of the maths games we recited our poem 'Families' for  the mums and dad and we then showed them our skeleton dance, it was fun to have the parents join in too! We are also getting ready for Halloween in our class so we created some scary witches using 2D shapes!

Dogs Trust

We had a lovely visitor Aoife from Dog Trust visit our class on Tuesday morning. We learnt lots on how to be a responsible dog owner and also what to do when we meet a new dog or see a stray dog. Aoife also answered lots of our questions about dogs. We also got lots of goodies! Thanks Aoife for coming to visit us.

Tin Whistle

This year we're learning how to play the tinwhistle. We are really enjoying learning how to play tinwhistle and can't wait to learn some more tunes!!

CeeCee

We had a very special visitor to our classroom. CeeCee the school rabbit came to visit us for the week. During this week, we learned how to care for CeeCee, how to feed her and also how to clean her cage. We then created our own classroom book on CeeCee where we all got to write a piece about CeeCee. We all loved having CeeCee in our classroom and look forward to welcoming her back again soon!
